June 14: FileMaker Certifications Update

Matt Lygo took and passed the FileMaker Certification exams for versions 11 and 12 of the platform in April and May this year. The version 13 exam is scheduled for next month. Certification demonstrates knowledge and experience of the complete product line, and is the only credential validated by Filemaker Inc.

May 14: Welcome Robbie

Continued expansion at Kantala has led us to appoint Robbie Stephens as a Trainee Developer. Robbie joined us in February and has since made excellent progress, studying hard as well as undertaking some support and project work for clients. He is working towards the FileMaker Certification exam.

April 08: 2 Certifications in the same day!

Kantala's Lead Developer, Matt Lygo has had such a hectic work schedule lately that he has been unable to find the time to sit the two most recent Filemaker Certification exams, for versions 8 and 9 of the platform. To rectify this, he recently took and passed both exams in the same day. Certification demonstrates knowledge and experience of the complete product line, and is the only credential validated by Filemaker Inc.

Sep 07: Matt Lygo gives presentation on Filemaker 9 to Apple Store customers

Filemaker International approached a number of prominent FBA members to spearhead the launch of version 9 of the product, in Apple Stores around the UK. Matt Lygo of Kantala was asked to deliver a presentation in the Birmingham Bullring store.The presentation focussed on the new features of Filemaker 9, including Connecting to SQL data sources, Conditional Formatting, Dynamic Layout Resizing and many more.
