Kantala were contracted by this New York based Agency to develop a project management solution. This solution would track the work done by different team members, on various modules of projects. Detailed reporting functions were required, as well as the facility for team members to log in over the web to fill in timesheets and record expenses.
The finished solution allows users to:
Manage Projects – Record all details associated with the Project, including relevant dates.
Assign hours and staff to different elements of the Project, and track hours and expenses on each element
Create Project Milestones, and apply these to individual elements or the Project as a whole
Manage Staff – allocate them to different projects and view their work history
Record hours and expenses on assigned projects via a web interface
Generate detailed reports and charts from all sections of the solution
Despite the time and location differences, Kantala were able to define requirements and produce a detailed specification, communicating by email, conference calls and screen sharing. With remote access to the client server, Kantala are able to add new features easily.
